Early on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, the teenage daughter of actor and composer Vijay Antony was discovered dead in their Alwarpet home. It is a suicide, according to the police.
According to police reports, the victim, 16, was enrolled in class XII at a private school in Chennai. Monday night after dinner, she went to sleep. The family discovered her dead in her bedroom at around 3 a.m.

She was taken by ambulance to Kauvery Hospital, where the staff immediately pronounced her dead.

Under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code, Teynampet police have filed a complaint for an unnatural death. Her corpse was delivered to the Omandurar Government Hospital for an autopsy. Additional research is being done.
